As a Mum of two myself, I know that the first few weeks with your newborn are an incredibly precious stage - lots of overwhelming emotions, new things to learn, a little person to get to know. Time completely stops and you're in a happy and overwhelming family bubble, your heart and mind filled with the touch and smell of your new baby.

But day by day, they'll grow and change. Everyone will tell you so, but you'll never believe how quickly it goes until it happens. Before long their tiny curled up toes will be toddler feet, running from room to room too fast for you to see and their baby fingers will be those of a little child, reaching for your hand as you walk down the street.

Having your newborn photography session at home is a great way to remember the newborn days in an authentic, relaxed and familiar environment. As I've been there before myself and have photographed many newborns, there's no need to worry if your baby is colicky or unsettled. We take as long as you and the baby need for feeds, changes and cuddles. I have plenty of tricks and tips up my sleeve and I'm a naturally calm presence, specialising in making you feel comfortable and relaxed on the shoot.

'Her Photos Tell a Story of Love Within a Family'

I loved the way Melissa made us feel comfortable while taking pictures of our newborn! I wanted [them] to tell a story of how we felt about our little family and that’s what she did. I loved...our natural smiles...each capture showed emotion! I can not recommend her enough, her photos tell a story of love within a family and I can’t wait to use her again'
